should include whether the lead acid battery observed at the yard is waste or product.
If waste, please tell how it will be managed and provide disposal record.
For item 605 for the labeling, the photo was taken from a distance where the labels are
not clear. To correct this, please provide statement stating that the drums were labeled
and explain what information was added, as stated on the full report:
REGULATION GUIDANCE: All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the
following information: the words "Hazardous Waste" name and address of generator,
hazardous properties, physical state, composition (contents), accumulation start date.
For item 608 for the oil filters, on the full report is written:
OBSERVATION: This facility generates drained used metal oil filters. A complete
three year bill of lading record for used oil filter recycling was not observed during the
inspection. The following bills of lading contained incomplete information:
Used oil filter records including Kludt Oil invoice number: 248412 dated 03-07-19 for
used oil filters has amount written as '120'but lacks a unit. Invoice also lacks size of
container the used oil filters were transported in, generator, transporter, and receiving
facility address and phone number information, and transfer date.
REGULATION GUIDANCE:
Persons generating, transporting, or receiving used metal oil filters shall use a bill of
lading to record the transfer of used oil filters. Bills of lading must indicate generator,
transporter, and receiving company names, addresses, telephone numbers, the
quantity and size of used oil filter containers transferred, and the date of transfer. A
copy of each bill of lading must be kept on the premises of the generator, transporter,
and receiving facility where the used oil filters were handled. Copies of bills of lading
shall be kept for a period of three years.
For complete correction, please provide statement stating that future disposal of used
oil filters will contain amount with unit and size of container the used oil filters were
transported in, generator, transporter, and receiving facility address and phone number
information, and transfer date.
Please call or email any questions you may have.
Thank you,
Claudia Muro, EHS
Environmental Health Specialist
6
