TOKAY STREET, LODI, CALIFORNIA SITE CODE NO. 1378 Dear Ms. Cotulla: I am writing to request your patience with respect to our submission of a work plan to conduct further investigations at the subject site. We appreciate the time and courtesy of Linda Turkatte, of your staff, in coming to our facility on November 14 and meeting with Mr. James Dufour, our counsel, and me, on environmental matters. Based on this meeting, we now have a better understanding of what the County is expecting in terms of further investigations. However, given the information"received, it will be necessary for us to have more time than_the November 12, 1991, correspondence from your office indicated, to prepare an I. appropriate work plan, cost estimate and approval by our company management. As the scope of work described exceeds what we reasonably believed would be expected, and the costs could be substantial, it will require additionalplanning. This matter came up after fiscal year budgets had- been approved and, because PCP is organized as an agricultural cooperative, more-time will be required to secure approval of this project. Furthermore, given the procedures necessary to assure reimbursement of expenses, under the SB.2004,Tank Cleanup Fund process, which Ms. Turkatte explained, we will need to obtain three bids and be able to carefully document expenditures to date. 631 North Guff Avenue P.O.
