Violation 101: A permanent hazardous waste ID number may be needed depending on the
corrections to the violations listed below.
Violation 102:
a. The lab analytical on the metal shavings show that the metal shavings may be hazardous
due to the amount of zinc, and possibly due to the chromium, copper and lead content.
The particle size of the metal shavings is needed to determine if the metal shavings are
hazardous waste. Have the particle size determined by a lab, and submit the results to
the EHD, or manage the metal shavings as hazardous waste and provide a hazardous
waste disposal record.
The Metal Shavings have been treated as Hazardous Waste. They were taken by
GeoAnalytical Laboratories, Inc, and provided as Exhibit B with the test results.
The Metal Shavings were then taken by Ramos Environmental and we provided
the manifest. Ramos did not include on Manifest, but per phone call they stated
to note it here that the metal shavings were taken. We will be receiving a five-
gallon Hazardous waste bucket from Ramos to submit all future Metal Fines.
b. Submit a statement documenting if the used absorbent observed at the time of
inspection is hazardous waste. If it is determined the used absorbent is hazardous
waste, provide a hazardous waste disposal record for the used absorbent.
The absorbent was deemed to be treated as Hazardous waste without us getting it
tested and was taken by Ramous Environmental, and provided in the Manifest as
Exhibit C.
3.
