F55PACIFIC STEEL GROUP Shop Foreman Job Description The Pacific Steel Group Shop Foremen duties include supervision of all fabrication shop personnel.The foreman keeps track of scheduling and timecards for all fabrication personnel. In addition to this,the foreman ensures that fabrication safety orientation training is scheduled and conducted by the safety department.This occurs upon the initial start of all fabrication shop employees. Weekly safety meetings are conducted by the shop foreman.The foreman schedules orders for the fabrication of reinforcing steel using the tagging system.The foreman ensures that all finished product is sorted and allocated for each designated construction project which is then loaded on trucks for delivery. Accident, Iniury& Hazardous Spill Response Shop foremen have the responsibility of reporting accidents and injuries, communicating with the safety & risk departments for injury management, arranging for first aid and or medical care with designated first aid and medical providers. Investigation of incidents is also to be coordinated & managed with the assistance of the safety& risk department. Foremen also have the duty to coordinated and assist with cleaning, containment and arranging for disposal of spills of potentially hazards substances. Small, easily contained spills of substances such as hydraulic fluid can be easily contained and cleaned. In the event of a larger spill, the foreman will immediately call for the assistance of the assistant emergency response team leader and or designated maintenance personnel.These will retrieve the spill clean up kit to contain and dispose of spilled potentially hazardous material. In case of emergencies such as fire, earthquake, spills of potentially hazardous substances, etc. Shop foremen have the duty to immediately respond to the emergency by notifying all in the facility to evacuate the structure and direct all personnel to the Emergency Assembly/Staging Area. If necessary, 911 will be called for emergency assistance such as EMS, Fire or Police.The foremen will obtain a headcount to ensure that all personnel have successfully evacuated the structure. If safe to do so,the foreman will coordinate with the assistant emergency response team leader and maintenance personnel to shut off(where applicable)gas, water, and electrical utility at each respective shut off location. Maintenance Personnel Job Description Maintenance personnel are essential to the fabrication operation. Maintenance personnel conduct daily and routine inspections of all fabrication machinery, mobile equipment, conduct monthly inspections of fire extinguishers and inspections of emergency eyewash stations. Daily, maintenance personnel conduct daily routine maintenance of all machinery, conduct maintenance repairs. Lock out tag out procedures are followed to ensure the safety of all affected employees. Maintenance personnel also assist in the event of emergencies as stated above.
