8 . Well water samples shall be collected after at least 3 well <br /> volumes of water have been removed. When a well sample is collected <br /> from a valve, the valve shall be the one closest to the well and <br /> before any pressure tank, filter, or water softener. A sketch showing <br /> pipe size(s) and distance to the sampling point shall be included. <br /> Purging time and flow rate shall be recorded and used to calculate the <br /> volume of water purged prior to sampling. <br /> 9. If requested by staff, wells shall be characterized by <br /> measuring water temperature, pH, electrical conductivity (EC) , <br /> and standard minerals (Ca, Mg, K, Na, Cl, HCO3 , CO3) . <br /> 10. Samples shall be collected, preserved, transported, and stored <br /> in a manner appropriate to the analyses to be performed. The <br /> procedures to be followed shall be described in the S&A plan. <br /> 11. Chain-of-custody forms shall be utilized and made available <br /> for staff review. <br /> 12 . Hazardous wastes are those substances listed in Articles 9 and 11 <br /> of Chapter 30, Division 4 of Title 22 , California Administrative Code. <br /> Testing for hazardous waste constituents shall be as specified in <br /> Article 11. <br />
