Ground Water Monitoring Report - First Quarter 2002 <br /> Former Curtiss Pontiac-Buick <br /> I2450 Toste Road, Tracy, California <br />' 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> I At the request of Mr Joe Toste of J T Storage, Advanced GeoEnvironrnental, Inc (AGE) has <br /> prepared this quarterly report for 2450 Toste Road, Tracy, California(the site) The scope of work <br /> included monitoring and sampling nine ground water monitoring wells for laboratory analysis,data <br />' analysis and preparation of this report The site setting is illustrated in Figure 1 A plan view of the <br /> site is illustrated in Figure 2 <br /> Summaries of previous investigations at the site are included in Preliminary Investigation and <br /> Evaluation Report (PIER), prepared by AGE, dated 15 August 1997, and in Quarterly Report, <br /> prepared by AGE, dated 18 September 1997 Ground water monitoring data collected from <br />' monitoring well GLMW-3,which is part of the underground storage tank(UST)release investigation <br /> at 2420 Grant Line Road, is included in this investigation to delineate the down gradient extent of <br /> the dissolved hydrocarbon plume and to determine ground water flow direction and gradient <br /> GLMW-3 had been sampled on 26 December 2001 and was not resampled for this event, although <br /> depth to water was remeasured on 23 January 2002 Quarterly monitoring data from February 1998 <br /> to present is summarized in Tables 1 and 2 of this report <br /> I • <br /> 2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> Field work was conducted and this report was prepared in accordance with guidelines issued by the <br /> Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) for subsurface investigation <br />' of underground storage tank (UST) sites and guidelines issued by the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department (EHD) for sampling ground water monitoring wells <br /> 2 1 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION <br />' On 23 January 2002, a Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in <br /> each well relative to the tops of the well casings After ground water depth measurements were <br />' collected, monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-7 were purged using disposable plastic bailers A <br /> minimum of three casing-water volumes of water were purged from each well,excluding monitoring <br /> well MW-7 The actual purge volumes were as follows <br /> I • four to five gallons of water were evacuated from wells MW-1B, MW-2B, and MW-3 <br /> through MW-6 <br />' • Ten and eleven gallons of water were purged from MW-lA and MW-2A, respectively <br /> • • Monitoring well MW-7 was pumped dry after six gallons of water had been purged <br /> IAdvanced GeoEnvi ron mental Inc <br />
