Ground Water Monitoring Report - First Quarter 2002 Former Curtiss Pontiac-Buick I2450 Toste Road, Tracy, California ' 1.0. INTRODUCTION I At the request of Mr Joe Toste of J T Storage, Advanced GeoEnvironrnental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this quarterly report for 2450 Toste Road, Tracy, California(the site) The scope of work included monitoring and sampling nine ground water monitoring wells for laboratory analysis,data ' analysis and preparation of this report The site setting is illustrated in Figure 1 A plan view of the site is illustrated in Figure 2 Summaries of previous investigations at the site are included in Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation Report (PIER), prepared by AGE, dated 15 August 1997, and in Quarterly Report, prepared by AGE, dated 18 September 1997 Ground water monitoring data collected from ' monitoring well GLMW-3,which is part of the underground storage tank(UST)release investigation at 2420 Grant Line Road, is included in this investigation to delineate the down gradient extent of the dissolved hydrocarbon plume and to determine ground water flow direction and gradient GLMW-3 had been sampled on 26 December 2001 and was not resampled for this event, although depth to water was remeasured on 23 January 2002 Quarterly monitoring data from February 1998 to present is summarized in Tables 1 and 2 of this report I • 2.0. PROCEDURES Field work was conducted and this report was prepared in accordance with guidelines issued by the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) for subsurface investigation ' of underground storage tank (UST) sites and guidelines issued by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) for sampling ground water monitoring wells 2 1 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION ' On 23 January 2002, a Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in each well relative to the tops of the well casings After ground water depth measurements were ' collected, monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-7 were purged using disposable plastic bailers A minimum of three casing-water volumes of water were purged from each well,excluding monitoring well MW-7 The actual purge volumes were as follows I • four to five gallons of water were evacuated from wells MW-1B, MW-2B, and MW-3 through MW-6 ' • Ten and eleven gallons of water were purged from MW-lA and MW-2A, respectively • • Monitoring well MW-7 was pumped dry after six gallons of water had been purged IAdvanced GeoEnvi ron mental Inc
