INTRODUCTION <br /> In accordance with a request from Mr Joe Toste, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has <br /> prepared this Work Plan Addendum for 2450 Toste Road in Tracy, California The scope of work <br /> includes the installation of up to eight soil probe boring and the collection of soil and ground water <br /> samples Also, ground water monitoring wells at the site will installed by the procedures outlined <br /> in the Site Contamination Work Plan dated February 1995 <br /> The location of the site is illustrated in Figure 1 - Location 11,1ap A plan of the site is illustrated in <br /> Figure 2 - Site Plan <br /> This work plan is prepared in accordance with San Joaquin County Public Health Services - <br /> Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) and the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control <br /> Board guidelines for the investigation of underground storage tanks (UST) sites <br /> 20 BACKGROUND <br /> • 2 1 SI"I E LOCATION <br /> The site is located in a business/agricultural area of western Tracy, California, in San Joaquin County <br /> (Figure 1) The property is located in a highway-retail business development owned by Mr Joe <br /> Toste, Jr A new/used car sales lot is located on the property Two large structures, a showroom <br /> office complex and a auto detailing/storage shop, are located on the property The eastern edge of <br /> the property lies adjacent to Grant Line Gas and Food, an UST site currently undergoing impacted <br /> soil and groundwater assessment <br /> 22 UNDER GROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL <br /> It is our understanding that three USTs,dispensers and piping were removed from the site on 31 July <br /> 1991 The removal was witnessed by a representative of the San Joaquin County Public Health <br /> Services - Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) Six soil samples were collected from the <br /> sidewalls of the excavation on 31 July 1991 Because groundwater was encountered in the <br /> excavation at a depth of approximately six feet, no floor samples were collected However, one grab <br /> groundwater sample was collected One soil sample was also collected beneath the piping/dispenser <br /> area <br /> All soil samples were collected at a depth of five feet below surface grade (bsg) The samples were <br />
