i <br /> Domestic Wells According to Mr Joe Toste,Jr ,the property owner,there are two domestic water <br /> • wells on Toste Road, one on-site (2450 Taste Road) and the other at 2480 Toste road, these wells <br /> I supply water to the site and the businesses located on Toste Road The on-site well is completed to <br /> a total depth of 220 feet bsg and contains a well screen from 195 feet to 220 feet bsg, a copy of the <br /> well driller's log is included as Appendix A The well located at 2480 Toste Road is approximately <br /> 300 feet southwest of the site According to Mr Toste,this well is completed to a total depth of 200 <br /> feet No other information could be obtained regarding this well or two other domestic wells <br /> observed at 2040 and 2120 Grant Line Road <br /> Threatened Well The on-site domestic water well at 2450 Toste Road is located dust beyond the <br /> southern margin of the contaminant plume and up-gradient of the former dispensers and UST area <br /> This water well was sampled during the first and second quarters of 2002 for total petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline and diesel(TPH-g and TPH-d),benzene,toluene,ethylbenzene, <br /> total xylenes (BTEX) and seven fuel additives None of the analytes were detected at or above <br /> Ilaboratory reporting limits in the samples collected <br /> IUST REMOVAL <br />' AGE was informed that three USTs, dispensers and piping were removed from the site on 31 July <br /> 1991, and that the removal was witnessed by a representative of the EHD, additional information <br /> regarding history of the UST use, tank tests, product inventory and repairs are not known to AGE <br /> 10 Six soil samples were collected from the sidewalls during the 31 July 1991 excavation, at a depth <br /> of five feet below surface grade (bsg), no excavation floor samples were collected because <br />' groundwater was encountered in the excavation at a depth of approximately six feet In addition,one <br /> grab groundwater sample was collected from the excavation and one soil sample was collected <br /> beneath the piping/dispenser area The soil and ground water samples were analyzed for TPH-g, <br /> IBTEX, lead and ethylene dibromide (EDB) <br /> Concentrations of TPH-g and BTEX compounds were detected in each soil sample collected from <br /> Ithe UST excavation TPH-g was detected from the east wall of the UST excavation at a maximum <br /> concentration of 62 milligrams per kilogram(mg/kg)and from the west wall of the UST excavation <br /> I at a maximum concentration of 26 mg/kg Benzene was not detected above the elevated detection <br /> limits in the soil samples collected from the UST excavation walls Lead was detected at a maximum <br /> concentration of 10 mg/kg EDB was detected in one sample at a concentration of 2 9 mg/kg <br /> ITPH-g and BTEX compounds were detected in the water sample at concentrations of <br /> 150,000 micrograms per liter (µg11) and 25,000 µg/1, 43,000 µ.g/1, 5,700 µg/1 and 32,000 µg/1, <br /> respectively Lead was detected at a concentration of 0 67 µg/1 in the water sample,however,EDB <br /> was not detected <br /> 0 <br />
