Palmer, Consulting Hydrogeologist (CMP) has prepared this
Monitoring Well Destruction Workplan for the Boyd Service Center 560 Tracy
Boulevard (Figure 1). This site received a "no further action" letter from the San
Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) in December, 2011.
The EHD will issue a Case Closure Letter once the existing monitoring wells
have been properly destroyed and all onsite waste materials have been removed
and properly disposed.
This workplan has been prepared on behalf of the City and contains an outline of
the proposed well destruction method. The Wright Environmental Services, Inc.
boring logs, monitoring well construction well details, and maps of illustrating
monitoring well locations at the subject property are attached. Once the EHD
has reviewed and approved the workplan the City of Tracy will select contractors
for the well destructions and submit well destruction permits to EHD. The City
will directly contract the qualified C-57 well drilling contractor to perform the work.
The City is also responsible for all well destruction drilling waste storage and
proper disposal.
Please note that the EHD may amend the actual well destruction procedure that
the well driller must follow per their approved permit. EHD modifications to well
destruction procedures may occur in the field at the time of well destruction work.
F
I
