Your office will issue the Case
Closure letter for our site upon the completion of the Monitoring Well Destructions work
of the four existing groundwater monitoring wells.
A portion of the Site ;Assessment work at the Boyd Service Center Site also included
samplxug near the old Chevron pipelines that cross the site. These old pipelines may date "
back to the early 1900s and investigation sampling revealed some petroleum
contamination at the pipelines. This issue has not yet been resolved with Chevron and
the existing monitoring wells are located down gradient positions from the old pipelines.
The City requests retaining the four monitoring wells for possible future sampling for the
pipeline issue.
