This proposd was developed after discussion with, Mr. $ilbrey and is a
pxelimirafy widerstanding of Tracy Community Memorial Hospital's desires. Kleinfelder is
committed to providing quEdity service to its clients, commenstuate with their wants, ueods and
desited level of tisk. If a portion of this proposal does not meet the needs of Tracy Community
Merrxorial 119sp3ta.l or if those needs have changed, Meinfeldear will consider appropriate
madificatavos, subject to the standards of care to which we adhere as professionals_
Modifications such as changes it scope, methodology, scheduling, and contract terms may result
in changes to the risks assumed by Tracy Commura.ity Memorial Hospital as well as adjustments
to our fees.
'1 m site is located at 1420 North Tracy Boulevard in Tracy, California (Plate 1). Tbree
groixndwatex rr mitoring wells were imta.Lled at the Tracy Community Memorial Hospital
(TCW on March 15 through March 17, 1989, and subsequently sampled on. March 23, 1989.
A duplicate sample was taken from MW-3 and submitted for analysis as a blind duplicate
sample. All hych-ocarboa eongUtuents were below laboratory reporting limits except for 0.9 µg]1
toluene detected in,the duplicate sample from upgradient MW-3.
SCOPE OF "'IRVICSS
Task 1 -Measurement of Groundwater-Levels
hi order to assess the 1poimdwater gradient at the time of sampling, water level measurements
will be made in the, t1we monitoring wells at the beginning of each sampling round prior to
purging =d minpling the- wells. The depth-to-groundwater will be measured in each well
according to the protocol described in A.ttacbrnent A, Serflon A-2. The depth-to-gro=dwater
rn..asureaieuts will then be coaverted to relative groundwater elevations with respect to mean sea
level or a local bea6maik by subtracting diem from the surveyed casing elevations to provide a
groundwater table elevation for each monitomg well location.
The resulting groundwWerelevations will be contoured to assess the direction of the groundwater
gradient at the time, of sampling. This information can tl= be used to assess which wells
represent upgradient and w1kioh wells represent downgradirmt groundwater conditions_
2(1-YF4094fCP950046(1495) Page I of March 21, 1995
Copyright 1995 Kleinfolden IIttc.
