3-6 <br /> These elevations were .'used to construct the direction of groundwater <br /> flow and the hydraulic gradient using methods outlined in USGS Water- <br /> Supply Paper 2220 . Groundwater flow is geFnerally to the northeast. <br /> The direction'°of flow has shifted between April and July 1987, to a <br /> slightly more , northerly direction. Groundwater flow directions for <br /> April and July 1987 are shown on Figure 2-11. The water surface has <br /> dropped between 1/4 and 1/3 foot since April 1987 .
