i
i
Mr. Kyle Christie
June 29, 1989
Page S
variably low BETX concentrations .since December 1987, B.ETX has been identified in well I
ATR-2 for the first time since sampling began. The presence of BETX in well. ATR-2 cannot
be fully explained at this time, but -may be the result of (1) groundwater flow direction
change, (2) sampling error, or,, -3) laboratory error., The next sample collection (May .1989)
may yield enough information 'to determine .the source. BETX concentrations have.-decreased
in wells ATR-3 and-ATR-4.
Since the February 1989 samples were collected, three .additional wells have been .installed
at this site. Field and 'laboratory results from this work will be presented in a separate
document.
If you have any questions or comments regarding this report,- please call me or Mr. Steve
Misner at (916) 444-0123. k
..Very truly yours,
BROWN AND CALDWELL
awrence E.
