F a
KYLE CHRISTIE
PAGE 2
1799 E. Yosemite, Manteca ARCO Facility #6020
PHSIEHD contact - Michael Infurna
The underground storage tanks at this facility are scheduled to be removed. The exact
removal date has not yet been determined. The work will probably coincide with the street
widening planned for Yosemite Street in Manteca. The tank closure plan, when submitted to
PHS/EHD, will include a work pian to over-excavate the new tank pit area and to take
confirmation soil samples. This corrective action requires an executive summary and a public
participation period of 1 to 30 days prior to implementation. This site is to remain on an
annual groundwater monitoring and sampling schedule. Upon review and concurrence with the
tank closure report sent to both PHS/EHD and CVRWQCB, documenting successful
remediation of the contaminated soil by over-excavation and destruction of the three monitoring
wells, site certification/closure will be granted.
7906 N. EI Dorado St., Stockton ARCO Facility #2130
PHSIEHD contact - Michael Infurna
The addendum to the Final Remedial Plan has been received by PHSIEHD and is currently
undergoing review.
The remedial system is currently on line as of last week.
The additional monitoring wells will be installed pending access to the off site locations.
Access agreements were mailed out last month.
Several monitoring wells at the site need to be upgraded or maintained due to disrepair. This
will be taken care of in the next quarter.
441 W. Charter Way, Stockton ARCO Facility #2168
PHSIEHD contact - Michael Infurna
The addendum to the Final Remedial Plan has been received by PHSIEHD and is undergoing
review. The current quarterly report has not yet been completed but the upgradient well is still
showing the second highest levels of contamination. A historic search by ARCO on the use of
the property to the west of the site to determine if there were any former underground storage
tanks would be helpful. A file review report completed by EMCON will be submitted to
PHSIEHD.
The underground storage tanks at this site are scheduled to be removed but
the exact date and whether they will be replaced has not yet been determined and is
dependent on a new lease agreement between ARCO and the property owner.
The new legislation regarding commingling plumes was briefly discussed. S8108 requires a
trial period with the City of Blythe but the legislation may be helpful to situations where there
are documented co-mingling plumes.
800 E. Kettleman, Lodi ARCO Facility 2076
PHD/EHD contact - Mary Meays
The unauthorized release report filed for this site in September 1994 for a drive off spill was
discussed. The disposition of the absorbent and the contaminated soil from the cleanup will be
included in the next quarterly report or in a separate letter. The third quarter status report was
received at the meeting.
