• <br /> ATTACHMENT A <br /> REMEDIAL SYSTEM PERFORMANCE EVALUATION <br /> Soil vapor extraction (SVE) and air sparging were initiated on January 4, 1996 and June 19, 1997, <br /> respectively A brief description and performance evaluation of the remedial system between February 2, <br /> 1999 and March 14, 1999 is presented below <br /> SVE System <br /> The SVE system is comprised of 11 SVE wells (VES-1 through VES-7, and ATR-3, ATR-4, ATR-5, and <br /> TEX-1) and a King Buck Hasstech 100 cfm catalytic oxidizer The SVE system is permitted by the San <br /> Joaquin County Unified Air Pollution Control District (SJVUAPCD) Permit to Operate Number N-3413-1-0, <br /> for operation through January 1, 2002 <br /> The SVE system was approximately 62% operational this quarter Down time was associted with a power <br /> failure and blown fuse in the PG&E transformer During this period, the SVE system removed approximately <br /> 913 ponds of TPH-g To date, the SVE system has removed approximately 3,221 pounds of TPH-g from the <br /> soil and groundwater beneath the site Historical SVE system performance and analytical data are <br /> summarized in Tables A-1 and A-2 Graphical presentations of TPH-g mass removal and influent <br /> concentration data are shown on Figures A-1 and A-2 <br /> Air Sparging System <br /> The air sparge system is comprised of 11 air sparge wells(VES-1 through VES-7, S-1 through S-3,and SMW- <br /> 1)and a Conde 7 5-horsepower sparge blower <br /> The air sparging system operated at an average infection pressure of 7 psi and an average flow rate of 6 2 cfm <br /> The air sparge system was approximately 62%operational this quarter Air sparging system operational data, <br /> including well open/closed status,flow rate and applied pressure, data are presented in Table A-3 Dissolved <br /> oxygen levels for site wells is presented in Table A-4 <br /> Attachments Table A-1 - Soil Vapor Extraction System Performance Data <br /> Table A-2 - Soil Vapor Extraction Emission Data <br /> Table A-3 - Air Sparging System Well Data <br /> Table A-4 - Dissolved Oxygen Well Concentrations <br /> Figure A-1 - Soil Vapor Extraction System Removal Trend <br /> Figure A-2 - Soil Vapor Extraction System Hydrocarbon Concentrations <br /> Attachment A-A - Remedial System Field Data Sheets <br />
