The purpose of the site assessment is to further delineate the lateral extent <br /> of petroleum hydrocarbons in soil and groundwater beneath the site. Six cone <br /> penetration testing (CPT) borings will be advanced to assess soil stratigraphy. Adjacent <br /> to each CPT boring, a second direct-push boreholewill be advanced to collect soil and <br /> i groundwater samples as described in the Proposed Scope of Work. <br /> SITE BACKGROUND <br /> The site is an operating Chevron Service Station located in a mixed <br /> commercial/residential area on the west side of Tracy Boulevard in Tracy, California. <br /> An operating Shell Service Station is located directly south of the site and a former <br /> Unocal Service Station was located cast (across Tracy Boulevard) of the site. <br /> Additional site investigation information pertinent to this proposed assessment is <br /> summarized in Attachment A. <br /> PROPOSED SCOPE OF WORK <br /> The scope of work proposed for this assessment includes the advancement of six CPT <br /> borings to collect soil stratigraphy and the collection of soil and groundwater samples. <br /> Groundwater is anticipated to be encountered at approximately 8 to 11 feet below <br /> ground surface (bgs) based on recent data. <br /> k <br /> 3017 Kilgore Road, Suite 100, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670 916.861,0400 916.•861.0430 Fax www,secor.com <br />
