INTRODUCTION
At the request of Mr. Bob Yamada,Advanced Geo Environmental, Inc. (AGE) has prepared this site
assessment work plan for the property at 15406 South Tracy Boulevard, Stockton, California (the
site). The location of the site is illustrated on Figure 1. A plan of the site is illustrated on Figure 2.
This work plan was prepared following recommendations made by the PHS-EHD during an April
2001 phone conversation to address recurring detections of metbyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE) in
ground water samples collected during quarterly monitoring activities. Low concentrations of MTBE
have been detected in samples collected from the three ground water monitoring wells at the site and
from the on-site domestic well. No other analytes of concern have ben detected in ground water
samples since monitoring began in November 1999. On 13 April 2001 AGE personnel made a site
visit to determine a source for the MTBE contamination; no apparent above-ground source was
located.
This work plan is prepared in accordance with Appendix A to Tri-Regional Recommendations -
Reporting, dated 30 August 1991, prepared by the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control
Board(Appendix A - Reports) for the investigation of underground storage tank (UST) sites.
2.0. BACKGROUND
Background information was summarized in Preliminary Site Assessment Report- February 1999,
dated 12 February 1999, prepared by AGE.
The depth to ground water at the subject property was approximately 5 feet below surface grade
(bsg) during the most recent ground water monitoring event (March 2001). Historically,
groundwater flow at the site has been toward the north - northeast.
3.0. SCOPE OF WORK
AGE proposes to advance three soil probe borings for the collection of grab ground water samples
to delineate the MTBE plume in ground water at the site. The site assessment will consist of the
following tasks:
• Permitting and pre-field work preparations;
• Advancement of soil probe borings;
• Grab ground water sample collection and analysis; and
Advanced Geo Environmental,Inc.
