' 20 December 2004
AGE-NC Project No 98-0452
' of custody forms are included in Appendix F Documents confirming the upload of laboratory
electronic deliverable format (EDF) files to GeoTracker are provided in Appendix G
' 4.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
' Based on the data collected from the site, AGE concludes
• The major soil found at the site was a gray brown, damp to saturated fine-grained sand to
' total depth of the borings Boring MW-6 differed from the other borings, containing finer
grained soils of silty sand to clay
' • The fuel oxygenate MTBE was detected at a concentration of 0 06 mg/kg in sample
MWS-10
• There appears to be little petroleum hydrocarbon-impacted soil Hydrocarbon-like odors
' detected from boring MW-4 may have been from hydrocarbon-impacted water in the soil
• No target analytes were detected in the soil samples submitted from borings MW-4, MW-6
' or MW-7 MTBE concentrations detected in MW5-10 were just above laboratory detection
limits, based on this investigation and previous site assessments, the vertical extent of soil
contamination has been defined
1
' 5.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
Based on the findings of the environmental activities recounted in this report, AGE recommends
' continuation of the quarterly monitoring program Three quarterly sampling events have occurred
at the site since the installation of the wells documented in this report
6.0. LIMITATIONS
' Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities The findings were based upon
analytical results provided by an independent laboratory Evaluation of the geoiogic/hydrogeologic
' conditions at the site for the purpose of this investigation was made from a limited number of
available data points (i a soil samples) and subsurface conditions may vary away from these data
points No other warranty, expressed or implied, is made as to the professional interpretations,
opinions and recommendations contained in this report
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
