l
I02 October 2001
• AGE-NC Project No 98-0452
4.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
Based upon data collected from the site, AGE concludes the following
• Ground water elevations have increased approximately 0 6 feet since the previous quarterly
monitoring event
• The ground water gradient was calculated to be 0 004 ft/ft with a flow direction toward the
southwest Ground water flow direction during the previous three quarters had been toward
the north to northeast The most recent ground water flow direction and gradient are nearly
identical to those recorded during the third quarter 2000 monitoring event Local ground
water appears to be influenced by seasonal hydrogeologic changes
• TPH-d was not detected above laboratory reporting limits in any of the ground water samples
collected and analyzed
• MTBE was detected in monitoring wells MVS-2 and MW-3 at concentrations of 35 µg/1 and
180 µg/l, respectively The concentrations detected in samples MW-2 and MW-3 exceeed
the action level and Maximum Containment Level for MTBE m drinking water
• • Analytes of concern were not detected in the on-site domestic well
5.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
Based upon data collected from the site,AGE recommends continued ground water monitoring for
rMTBE The next quarterly monitoring event should be scheduled for December 2001
6.0. LIlMITATIONS
' Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities The findings were based upon field
measurements and analytical results provided by an independent laboratory Evaluations of the
I geologic/hydrogeologic conditions at the site for the purpose of this investigation are made from a
limited number of available data points(i a monitoring wells, ground water samples) and subsurface
conditions may vary away from these data points No other warranty, expressed or implied, is made
' as to the professional recommendations contained in this report
Advanced GcoEnvironmental,Inc
I
