Remediation Plan Ford Construction Company, Inc. and Ji.m Thorpe Oil ,
Inc. in conjunction with Terra Environmental plan a bio-remediation
process as the final environmental site mitigation step in order to
achieve closure at the above mentioned location. This process will
include the use of a Barber-Greene 3 ton soil mixing pug mill equipped
with a metered liquid injection system, a grizzly type screening plant,
two conveyor belts and two wheel type front loaders. Pug mill and
conveyor belts will be powered by a portable diesel powered generator.
City water is available on site. A steel tank of 1 ,500 gallon. capacity
will be used to mix microbes and water. A second steel tank of 1 ,500
to 2,000 gallon capacity will be used to mix nutrients and water. Pumps
may be powered by electricity, or portable gasoline and/or diesel engines.
Six mil plastic sheeting will be used under the mixed soil . There may be
more equipment needed to complete the process, however, the pieces men-
tioned are the basic implements.
Virtually all soil handled during the "bio" process will contain
enough moisture that a problem of blowing of dust will not occur. If
the need arises for dust control , a water truck will be brought on job
