Overloading and spillage of the recycle paving mixture will not be allowed. The mixture will be delivered directly to the placement site, and unleaded for placement. Placement will be made with equ1.pment meeting the requirements of Section 9 Standard Specifications, State of California (Caltrans) . After placement, the recycle mie,ture shall be compacted with a 8-10 ton steel drum roller. Compaction shall be completed within one hour of placement. Recycle pavement shall be placed to the lines and grades established by the Engineer. C. ualit-y CQ_rtro,_ ,.,.0f FAving Mixtures The mixing proportions shall be constantly monitored by the mixer operator to produce the required emulsion asphalt content of the mixture. Samples from the mixer, before transportation, will be taken for every 500 ton of mixture produced. These samples will be delivered to a certified testing laboratory in sealed air tight containers. Each sample shall be tested as per California Test Method 310, for asphalt and moisture content. Traffic shall not be allowed on the compacted recycle mixturs until the pavement is completely cured, and has attained full working strength. D.
