k" KLE [ NFELDER <br /> A possible explanation of product occurring with a lowering groundwater level is a submerged <br /> screened interval being exposed to product as the groundwater level decreases However, based <br />' upon well construction details from MW-1 this does not appear to be the case The well screen <br /> interval ranges from an approximate depth of 25 to 45 feet bgs in MW-1 Depth to groundwater <br /> (measured from approximate ground surface) in MW-1 has ranged from approximately 32 58 to <br />' 38 03 feet since sampling began in June of 2000 <br />' 6 2 RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> Based on the data obtained during this assessment, Kleinfelder makes the following <br /> recommendations <br /> I Continue quarterly monitoring of the existing monitoring wells (MW-1, MW-2, MW-3, and <br /> MW-4) <br /> 2 Due to the presence of floating product in MW-1, Kleinfelder recommends additional purging <br /> and removal of any product layer in MW-1 <br /> ' 3 Kleinfelder recommends that a copy of this report be submitted to San Joaquin County Public <br /> Health Services Department, Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) and the State of <br /> California, Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) for their review <br /> and comment <br /> 4 The purge water currently stored on-site should be evaluated and properly disposed of by the <br /> Client Klemfelder can assist the Client in the disposal process at an additional charge if <br /> requested by the client <br /> ' This report, and the conclusions and recommendations presented in this Executive Summary, are <br /> subject to the "Limitations" presented in Chapter 7 of this report Any other party (other than <br /> General Mills or regulatory agencies having enforcement jurisdiction for this site) who would <br /> like to use this report shall notify Kleinfelder, Inc of such intended use by executing the <br /> "Application for Authorization to Use" which is included as an appendix to this report <br /> 1 <br /> 28209 T03/ST03R1312 Page IO of l l <br /> ' 0 2003 Kleinfelder, Inc September 22, 2003 <br />
