' k" KLEINFELDER <br /> 5 LABORATORY RESULTS <br /> I <br />' 5.1 LABORATORY ANALYSIS <br /> A total of four soil samples were collected and analyzed from wells bonngs MW-2, MW-3, and <br /> MW-4 After monitoring well installation, development, and purging, one groundwater sample <br /> was collected from each of four monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-4 <br /> A total of three soil samples, collected from well bonngs MW-2, MW-3, and MW-4 and four <br /> groundwater samples collected from monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-4 were analyzed for <br /> the following constituents <br /> • Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene, Total Xylenes by EPA Method 8260 (BTEX), <br />' • Total Extractable Petroleum Hydrocarbons as referenced to Diesel (TPH-D) by EPA <br />' Method 8015B, and <br /> • Total Purgeable Petroleum Hydrocarbons as referenced to Gasoline (TPH-G) by EPA <br /> Method 8015B <br /> A fourth soil sample collected beneath first encountered groundwater from well boring MW-4 <br />' was analyzed for TPH-D only <br /> In addition to the above mentioned analyses, the four groundwater samples were analyzed for <br />' the following oxygenates <br /> • Tertiary Butyl Alcohol (TBA), Methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE), Di-isopropal Ether (DIPE), <br /> I Ethyl Tertiary Butyl Ether (ETBE), and Tertiary Amyl Methyl Ether (TAME) by EPA <br /> Method 8260B <br />' For a summary of the analytical results refer to Tables 1 and 2 included in the Appendix of this <br /> report A brief summary of the reported results is as follows <br /> None of the soil samples analyzed from well borings MW-2, MW-3, and MW-4 contained <br /> detectable concentrations of TPH-D, TPH-G, nor BTEX at or above laboratory reporting limits <br />' No requested petroleum constituents including TPH-D, TPH-G, BTEX or the five oxygenates <br /> were detected in the groundwater samples collected from down-gradient monitoring wells MW- <br /> 2, MW-3, and MW-4 TPH-D and TPH-G were detected at concentrations of 13 mg/1 and 2 5 <br /> mg/l, respectively from the groundwater samples collected from MW-1 (located adjacent and <br /> southwest of the UST) Ethylbenzene and total xylenes were also detected in the groundwater <br /> 20-1417-16 E04/ST02R038 Page 9 of 18 <br /> ©2002 Kleznfelder,Inc June 7,2002 <br />
