' kn KLEINFELOER <br /> 6 CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> iTwo (2) soil borings were advanced to depths below the base of an existing 10,000-gallon UST <br /> at the subject site, prior to proposed abandonment in place A total of 9 soil samples were <br />' collected for potential chemical analysis Petroleum-like odors were present in the soil samples <br /> collected during advancement of the 2 soil borings PID readings recorded from the soil samples <br /> collected ranged from 23 to 332 ppmv <br /> Four(4) of the 9 soil samples collected were analyzed for the following <br /> • Total Purgeable Petroleum Hydiocarbons as ieferenced to Gasoline [TPH-G] by EPA <br /> Method 8015M <br /> 0 Benzene, Toluene Ethylbenzene, Total Xylenes [BTEX] by EPA Method 8020 <br /> 0 Fuel Fingerprint by EPA Method 8015M <br />' The samples were analyzed on a standard laboratory schedule requiring approximately 10 to 15 <br /> working days <br /> Diesel was detected in soil samples from both borings ranging in concentrations from 3,920 <br /> mg/kg to 5,400 mg/kg Purgeable hydrocarbons were detected in both soil borings and ranged in <br /> detection from 961 mg/kg to 5,560 mg/kg No other analytes were detected at or above laboratory <br /> reporting limits For a summary of the results obtained, please refer to Tables 5-1 in Chaptei 5 of <br />' this report <br /> The vertical or horizontal extent of contamination is unknown and beyond the scope of <br /> Kleinfelder's approved investigation <br /> A copy of this report should be submitted to San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br />' Department, Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) and the State of California, Central <br /> Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) for their review and comment <br />' This report and the conclusions and recommendations presented, are subject to the "Limitations ' <br /> presented in Chapter 7 of this report Anyone other than the client, who wishes to use this <br /> document must complete the "Application for Authorization to Use" which is included as an <br /> appendix to this report <br /> 20-1417-16 E01/2019R338 Page 10 of 12 <br /> © 1999 Kleinfelder, Inc May 12, 1999 <br /> i <br />
