' Ground Water Monitoring Report - Third Quarter 2001
• PLAZA LIQUORS 11
' 2420 West Turner Road, Lodi, California
' 1.0. INTRODUCTION
At the request of Mr Robert McCarty,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this
quarterly report for the property located at 2420 West Turner Road, Lodi, California The site and
the surrounding area are illustrated in Figure 1 On-site structures and monitoring well locations are
illustrated on Figure 2 Background information and groundwater monitoring procedures for the site
are summarized in AGE's work plan titled Prehminary Site Assessment Work Plan, dated 19
November 1999 The objective of the work was to monitor dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon
concentrations in ground water and to characterize ground water flow direction and gradient on the
site
2.0. PROCEDURES
Field work was conducted and this report was prepared in accordance with guidelines established
by the Central Valley Region of the Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) for
. subsurface investigation of underground storage tank(UST) sites and guidelines established by San
IJoaquin County Public Health Services- Environmental Health Division(PHS-EHD) for sampling
ground water monitoring wells
I PURGE ED
21 MONITORING WELLLTRG PROCEDURES
On 10 July 2001, ground water monitoring and sampling was performed on wells MW through
MW4 Prior to sampling, the depth to ground water was measured from the top of each well casing
to the nearest 0 01-foot utilizing a Sohnst water level meter Ground water elevation in each well
was calculated by subtracting the measured depth to ground water from the surveyed casing elevation
(Table 1)
After water levels were gauged, a disposable plastic bailer was used to purge each monitoring well
of standing water Approximately 8 to 8 5 gallons of water(a minimum of 3 casing-water volumes)
I were removed from each well Ground water temperature, pH and conductivity were measured at
regular intervals during purging using an Oakton water analyzer Field sheets and data are included
in Appendix A Purged water was stored on-site in labeled, 55-gallon DOT-approved drums
I
22 COLLECTION OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
Water samples were collected from each purged well using new disposable plastic bailers Each
water sample was transferred into one 1-liter amber bottle without sample preservative and into three
Advanced GeoEnvirpnmental,Inc
I
