INTRODUCTION <br />' At the request of Mr Robert McCarty,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this <br /> quarterly report for the property located at 2420 West Turner Road, Lodi, California The site and <br /> the surrounding area are illustrated in Figure 1 Structures, monitonng well locations are illustrated <br />' on Figure 2 <br /> The quarterly report is prepared in accordance with Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control <br />' Board (CVRWQCB) guidelines for the investigation of underground storage tank (UST) sites <br /> Background information is summanzed in the Preliminary Site Assessment Work Plan dated 19 <br /> November 1999 and prepared by AGE <br /> I <br />' 2.0 PROCEDURES <br /> Four ground water monitoring wells were installed in March 2000, and were purged and sampled <br />' on 05 Apnl 2000 Field work was performed in accordance with PHS-EHD and RWQCB guidelines <br /> and in accordance with PHS-EHD-approved Site Assessment Work Plan Addendum dated 30 <br /> December 1999 <br /> 1 <br /> 21 DRILLING AND SAMPLING <br />' In March 2000, four soil bonngs were advanced at the site The soil bonngs were advanced using <br /> a CME-75HT dell ng, equipped with 8 25-inch diameter hollow-stem augers to advance bonngs <br />' MWl through MW4 The drill ng and two-man crew were supplied by Mitchell Drilling <br /> Environmental Auger returns generated by drilling were stored on-site on visqueen plastic, pending <br /> laboratory analysis <br />' Soil samples were collected ahead of the drill bit using a California modified split-spoon sampler <br /> loaded with three pre-cleaned 2-inch by 6-inch brass sleeves The samples were collected from <br />' monitoring well pilot bonngs MW 1 through MW4 at five-foot intervals, beginning at 5 feet bsg <br /> using a 140-pound hammer to advance the sampler The number of blows required to advance the <br />' sampler over each 6-inch increment of the 18-inch sampling interval was recorded on the boring <br /> logs Sampling equipment was washed in an Alconox solution and rinsed with water prior to each <br /> sampling run to avoid cross-contamination <br /> 10 For each sample, both ends of the leading or other selected sleeve were covered with Teflon sheets, <br /> capped and sealed with tape The samples were labeled, stored on ice and transported under chain-of- <br /> 1 <br /> Advanced GeoEnviren mental,Inc <br />
