07 June 2000 <br /> • AGE-NC Project No 99-0657 <br /> Page 3 of 7 <br />' 2 5 MONITORING WELL PURGE PROCEDURES <br /> Ground water sampling of the on site wells was conducted on 05 March 2000 For the sampling <br />' event, a Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in the four wells <br /> relative to the tops of the well casings The ground water elevations and gradient were determined <br /> from these data (Table 1) <br />' After recording water level measurements, a submersible pump was used to purge each monitonng <br /> well of standing water Approximately 8 gallons of water(mimmum of 3 water volumes per well) <br />' were removed from each well Ground water temperature, pH and conductivity were measured at <br /> regular intervals dunng purging using a Hydac water analyzer Field sheets and data are included in <br /> IAppendix B Purged water was stored on-site in labeled, 55-gallon DOT-approved drums <br />' 2 6 COLLECTION OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES <br /> Water samples were collected from each purged well using new disposable plastic bailers Each <br />'• water sample was transferred into 40-m1 VOA vials containing 0 5 ml 18% hydrochloric acid as a <br /> sample preservative, and 1-liter amber bottles without sample preservative After collection, the <br /> samples were properly labeled,placed in a chilled container and transported under chain-of-custody <br />' to AAL, and were analyzed for <br /> • TPH-g and TPH-d in accordance with EPA Methods 8015 Modified, <br />' 0 BTEX in accordance with EPA Method 8020, <br /> • DIPE, ETBE, MTBE, TAME and TBA in accordance with EPA Method 8260 Modified, <br />' 1,2 Dichloroethane in accordance with EPA Method 601 and, <br />' 1,2 Dibromoethane in accordance with EPA Method 8021A <br />' 27 SURVEYING <br /> The casing elevation of each well installed for the Plaza Liquors investigation was surveyed relative <br />' to City of Lodi Bench Mark # 344 On 26 April 2000, a California state-licensed survey engineer <br /> from Baumbach & Piazza, Inc surveyed a reference point on the top of each ground water <br />' monitoring well at the site to the nearest 0 01-foot relative to the City of Lodi Bench Marks and <br /> Description at 41 50 feet above mean sea level (ms]) The results of the monitoring well survey are <br /> contained in Table 1 The surveying report (Baumbach &Piazza) is presented in Appendix C <br /> 1 <br /> Advanced GeoEmoronmentol,Inc <br /> I <br />
