1
' Quarterly Report - Fourth Quarter 2005
PLAZA LIQUORS II
1 2420 West Turner Road, Lodi, California
' 1.0. INTRODUCTION
At the request of Mr Robert McCarty of Plaza Liquors II,Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc (AGE)
' has prepared this quarterly report for the property located at 2420 West Turner Road, Lodi,
California (site) The scope of work included the performance of a quarterly ground water
monitoring event, submission of analytical data to the State Water Resources Control Board's
' GeoTracker information management system, and preparation of this report The site and the
surrounding area are illustrated on Figure 1 On-site structures, soil borings, and monitoring well
' locations are illustrated on Figure 2 Site background information is summarized in Appendix A
' 2.0. PROCEDURES
Field work was performed in accordance with guidelines established by the Central Valley Regional
' Water Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB)for the investigation of underground storage tank(UST)
sites, and by the San Joaquin Environmental Health Department(EHD) for the sampling of ground
water monitoring wells Monitoring wells MW-7 and MW-8 are sampled annually during the fourth
' . quarter at the request of the EHD
' 2 1 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION
On 08 November 2005,the depth to ground water in monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-11 was
' measured from the top of each well casing to the nearest 0 01-foot utilizing a Solinst water level
meter Ground water elevation in each well was calculated by subtracting the measured depth to
ground water from the surveyed casing elevation (Table 1)
' After recordingwater level measurements, wells MW- through MW- 1 were purged b lowering
g P g Y g
' and raising a%-inch outer diameter, length-discrete polyethylene hose equipped with a bail-valve
water tip through the top chambers into the specific water-charged screened section A Waterra
Hydro-Lift II pump equipped with a mechanical arm was utilized to surge each well with a
' polyethylene hose Approximately 3 75 to 6 gallons of water (a minimum of three casing-water
volumes per well) were removed from wells MW-1 through MW-7 and MW-9, well MW-8 drew
down after 2 5 gallons of water had been purged Approximately 44 and 45 gallons of water were
' removed from wells MW-10 and MW-11, respectively Ground water temperature, pH, and
conductivity were measured at regular intervals for stabilization during purging using an Oakton
water analyzer Field sheets and data are included in Appendix B Purged water was stored on-site
' in properly labeled Department of Transportation (DOT)-approved model 17H 55-gallon drums
IAdvanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
I
