I
' 12 November 2004
AGE-NC Project No 99-0657
' measured on 26 July 2004 and also includes a rose diagram showing ground water directions from
previous monitoring events
' 32 ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
' TPH-g was detected in the water samples collected from wells MW-1, MW-2, and MW-4 at
concentrations of 3,200 micrograms per liter (µg/1), 2,400 µg11, and 800 µg/l, respectively
I Various BTEX compounds were detected in water samples collected from wells MW-1,MW-2,and
MW-4 at the following maximum concentrations 44 µg/l benzene (MW-1), 3 5 µg/1 toluene
(MW-4), and 680 µg11 xylenes (MW-1)
' MTBE was detected in water samples collected from wells MW-1, MW-2, MW-4, and MW-6 at
concentrations ranging from 31 µg/1 (MW-6) to 2,300 µg11 (MW-2)
' 1,2-DCA was detected In water samp
les collected from MW-1 and MW-4 at concentrations of
. 16 µg/1 and 15 µg/l,respectively TAME was detected in the water sample collected from MW-2 at
a concentration of 17 µg/1
I No other analytes were detected at or above laboratory reporting limits in the ground water samples
analyzed Analytical results of the ground water samples collected in July 2004 are summarized In
Table 2 The laboratory report (CTEL Project No CT214-0407176), quality assurance/quality
' control (QA/QC) reports, and chain of custody forms are included in Appendix C Documents
confirming the upload of laboratory electronic deliverable format (EDF) files and depth to water
measurements to GeoTracker are Included in Appendix D
I
4 0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
IThe following conclusions were drawn from the results of this Investigation
• The ground water elevation averaged approximately 3 67 feet above MSL Ground water is
Inferred to be flowing toward the south to southwest under an average ground water gradient
of 0 005 ft/ft
• The highest concentrations of dissolved hydrocarbons occurred in monitoring wells MW-1,
MW-2, and MW-4, which are located at or down-gradient of the UST area Concentration
Imaps depleting the approximate distribution of dissolved TPH-g, benzene, and MTBE are
• presented as Figures 4, 5, and 6, respectively
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
I
