Site Background Information <br /> 10AGE-NCProject No 99-0657 <br /> Page 3 of 3 <br /> I hydrocarbons were detected in the water samples collected from boring CPT-2 from units HU3, <br /> HUS,and HU6 Lesser concentrations of hydrocarbons were detected in the water samples collected <br /> from CPT-3 from the same hydrologic units Very low concentrations of toluene, xylenes, and <br /> MTBE were detected in CPT-1 The vertical extent of petroleum hydrocarbon-impacted ground <br /> water is defined off-site 1n the area of soil boring CPT-1 The vertical extent is undefined in the area <br /> of and down-gradient of the former and existing USTs, in the areas of CPT-2 and CPT-3 <br /> IOn 30 September and 01 October 2002, AGE installed four additional ground water monitoring <br /> wells (MW-5 through MW-8) A total of 20 soil samples were analyzed for the constituents, no <br /> analytes were detected at or above laboratory reporting limits in the soil samples <br /> On 18 and 20 January 2005, AGE advanced a soil boring (B-1) to 135 feet bsg The boring could <br />' not be completed as aground water monitoring well due to complications while setting the well The <br /> boring was logged and then grouted to the surface with Portland Cement On 20 January 2005,AGE <br /> installed one additional ground water monitoring well(MW-9,screened from 30 feet to 50 feet bsg) <br /> Soil samples collected from boring B-1 indicated petroleum hydrocarbon-impacted soil to a depth <br /> of l 10 feet bsg, but not beyond <br />' + On 05 and 06 Apri12005,AGE installed two additional ground water monitoring wells(MW-10 and <br /> MW-11, screened from 120 feet to 130 feet bsg) Soil samples were not collected from the pilot <br /> Iborings <br /> To date, the lateral extent of petroleum hydrocarbon-ground water has been defined to the north, <br />' east,and south of the UST area Impacted ground water is not fully defined to the west The vertical <br /> extent of petroleum hydrocarbon-impacted ground water has been defined The lateral and vertical <br /> extent of petroleum hydrocarbon-impacted soil has been defined <br /> I <br /> 1 <br /> I <br /> 1 <br /> I <br /> Advanced CeoEnvironmental,Inc <br /> I <br />
