I
' Quarterly Report - First Quarter 2006
• PLAZA LIQUORS II
' 2420 West Turner Road,Lodi, California
' 1.0. INTRODUCTION
At the request of Mr Robert McCarty of Plaza Liquors II,Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc (AGE)
' has prepared this quarterly report for the property located at 2420 West Turner Road, Lodi,
California (site) The scope of work included the performance of a quarterly ground water
monitoring event and preparation of this report The site and the surrounding area are illustrated on
' Figure 1 On-site structures, soil borings, and monitoring well locations are illustrated on Figure 2
Site background information is summarized in Appendix A
2.0. PROCEDURES
' Field work was performed in accordance with guidelines established by the Central Valley Regional
Water Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB)for the investigation of underground storage tank(UST)
' sites, and by the San Joaquin Environmental Health Department(EMD) for the sampling of ground
water monitoring wells Monitoring wells MW-7 and MW-8 are sampled annually during the fourth
quarter at the request of the EHD
1 •
2 1 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION
1 On 08 February 2006, the depth to ground water in monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-11 was
measured from the top of each well casing to the nearest 0 01-foot utilizing a Solinst water level
1 meter Ground water elevation in each well was calculated by subtracting the measured depth to
ground water from the surveyed casing elevation (Table 1)
1 After recording water level measurements,wells MW-1 through MW-6 and MW-9 through MW-11
were purged by lowering and raising a 5/s-inch outer diameter, length-discrete polyethylene hose
equipped with a ball-valve water tip through the top chambers into the specific water-charged
screened section A Waterra Hydro-Lift II pump equipped with a mechanical arm was utilized to
surge each well with a polyethylene hose Approximately 5 to 7 gallons of water (a minimum of
three casing-water volumes per well)were removed from wells MW-1 through MW-6 and MW-9,
approximately 43 and 45 gallons of water were removed from wells MW-10 and MW-11,
respectively Ground water temperature,pH,and conductivity were measured at regular intervals for
' stabilization during purging using an Oakton water analyzer Field sheets and data are included in
Appendix B Purged water was stored on-site in properly labeled Department of Transportation
(DOT)-approved model 17H 55-gallon drums
•
Advanced GeoEnvironmenw,Inc
1
