w
01 October 2004
• AGE-NC Project No 99-0657
events Figure 3 illustrates the contoured ground water elevations as measured on 19 April 2004 and
also includes a rose diagram showing ground water directions from previous monitoring events
3 2 ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
TPH-g was detected in the water samples collected from wells MWA, MW-2 and MW-4 through
MW-6 at concentrations ranging from 350 micrograms per liter (µg/1) (MW-5) to 2,800 µg/1
(MW-6)
BTEX compounds were detected in water samples collected from wells MW-1, MW-2 and MW-4
at the following maximum concentrations 290 µg/l benzene (MW-4), 22 µg/1 toluene (MW-4),
12 µg11 ethylbenzene (MW-4) and 610 µg/l xylenes (MW-1)
MTBE was detected in water samples collected from wells MW-1, MW-2, MW-4 and MW-6 at
Iconcentrations ranging from 660 µg/l (MW-2 and MW-4) to 2,700 µg/1 (MW-6)
1,2-DCA was detected in water samples collected from MW-4 and MW-6 at a maximum
• concentration of 110 µg11 (MW-6) TAME was detected in the water sample collected from MW-2
at a concentration of 14 µg/1
' No other analytes were detected at or above laboratory reporting limits in the ground water samples
analyzed The analytical results of water samples collected in April 2004 are summarized in Table 2
I The laboratory report (CTEL Project No CT214-0404140), quality assurance/quality control
(QA/QC)report and chain-of-custody forms are included in Appendix C Documents confirming the
upload of laboratory electronic deliverable format (EDF) files and depth to water measurements to
GeoTracker are included in Appendix D
' 4.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
The following conclusions were drawn from the results of this investigation
• The ground water elevation averaged approximately 3 58 feet above MSL Ground water is
inferred to be flowing toward the southwest with an average ground water gradient of
0 003 foot/foot
• The highest concentrations of dissolved hydrocarbons occurred in monitoring wells MWA,
MW-2 and MW-6, which are located at or down-gradient of the UST area Concentration
. maps depicting the approximate distribution of dissolved TPH-g, benzene and MTBE are
presented on Figures 4, 5 and 6
IAdvanced GeoEnviron mental,Inc
