1
' QuarterIy Report - Third Quarter 2002
PLAZA LIQUORS II
' 2420 West Turner Road, Lodi, California
' 1.0 INTRODUCTION
' At the request of Mr Robert McCarty,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE)has prepared this
quarterly report for the property located at 2420 West Turner Road, Lodi, California The scope of
work included conducting a quarterly ground water monitoring event and preparation of this report
' The site and the surrounding area are illustrated in Figure 1 On-site structures and monitoring well
locations are illustrated on Figure 2
' The objective ofthe work was to monitor dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations in ground
water and to characterize ground water flow direction and gradient on the site Background
information for the site is summanzed in AGE's work plan titled Additional Site Assessment Work
' Plan, dated 08 August 2001
' 2.0. PROCEDURES
Field work was conducted and this report was prepared in accordance with guidelines issued by the
Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) for subsurface investigation
of underground storage tank (UST) sites and guidelines issued by San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department (EHD) for sampling ground water monitoring wells
I
2 1 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION
On 05 July 2002,the depth to ground water in all four monitoring wells was measured from the top
of each well casing to the nearest 0 01-foot utilizing a Solinst water level meter Ground water
elevation in each well was calculated by subtracting the measured depth to ground water from the
surveyed casing elevation (Table 1)
IAfter water levels were measured, casing water in each monitoring well was evacuated using
disposable plastic bailers Between 7 0 and 7 33 gallons of water (a minimum of 3 casing-water
volumes per well) were removed from each well Ground water temperature, pH and conductivity
were measured at regular intervals during purging using an Oakton water analyzer Field sheets and
data are included in Appendix A Purged water was stored on-site in properly labeled, 55-gallon
IDepartment of Transportation(DOT)-approved drums
Iadvanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
