(AGE), the environmental <br /> consulting firm retained by you to handle the investigation and mitigation associated with the <br /> unauthorized release f m the former underground storage tank (UST) removed from your <br /> site, has requested a c elay in monitoring groundwater from all onsite wells until the fourth <br /> quarter 2009. AGE has also requested an extension to install a deep groundwater monitoring <br /> well in the source area intil the fourth quarter 2009. The San Joaquin County Environmental <br /> Health Department (E D) was informed that reimbursement by the California State Water <br /> Resources Control Board (CSWRCB) under the UST Cleanup Fund has been suspended <br /> resulting in great Finan ial hardship to you. The EHD approves the request to delay,the <br /> groundwater monitorinc and sampling of all onsite wells, and the installation of one deep <br /> monitoring well, until th fourth quarter 2009. <br /> The CSWRCB adopted Resolution No. 2009-0042 on May 19, 2009. This resolution directs <br /> all contaminated UST s tes currently under regulatory oversight by either the Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board RWQCB) or a Local Oversight Program (LOP) to reduce routine <br /> quarterly groundwater ampling of their monitoring wells to a semi-annual schedule unless <br /> site-specific needs warr int otherwise. <br /> The above subject site s currently listed with the EHD LOP. This letter Is to inform you that <br /> per CSWRCB resolutio No. 2009-0042, and based on the analytical data submitted quarterly <br /> through 2008, the EHD pproves the following sampling schedule effective January 1, 2010: <br /> • Semi-annually ollect groundwater from MW-3, MW-5, MW-6, MW-8B, MW-10A, <br /> MW-11A, MW-11B, MW-12A, EX-1, and EX-2 and analyze the samples for total <br /> petroleum hydr carbons quantified as gasoline (TPH-g), benzene, toluene, ethyl <br /> benzene, and total xylenes (BTEX), tertiary-amyl methyl ether (TAME), and <br /> 1,2-dichloroetha ie (1,2-DCA). Include the analysis for 1,2-dibromoethane (EDB) for <br /> groundwater collected from EX-1. <br />
