Box 2009
Stockton, CA 95201
RE: Gaut Pro erty located at 1607 Turnpike Rd., Stockton, CA
Dear Mr. Collins:
As discussed with John Lane of RESNA Industries (RESNA) in a telephone conversation March
11, 1992, approximate y 150 cubic yards of aerated soil is currently stockpiled at the above
referenced site. To tigate any physical hazards associated with the open tank pit and to
prevent damage to the a Jjacent building, RESNA proposes to backfill the stockpiled soil into the
open tank pit.
Prior to backfilling, 0 4 to 1 composite sample will be collected for every 50 cubic yards of
soil. Samples will be ollected by driving a 6" brass cylinder into undisturbed soil, preserved,
and transported under hain-of-custody to RESNA's Environmental Laboratory. Samples will
be analyzed for ben ene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes (BTEX) and total petroleum
hydrocarbons as gasoli ie (TPHG) utilizing EPA methods 8020 and modified 8015, respectively.
The aerated stockpiled soil is scheduled to be sampled on Monday, March 16, 1992.
If you have any questi ns regarding the above, please contact John P. Lane or myself at (209)
838-3507.
Respectfully,
RESNA Industries
Tom J. Lutterman
Staff Geologist
TJL/ggk
PC: Greg Gaut
L-031192.TJL
