Kirk Larson, PG, and Robert Trommer, CHG <br /> State Water Resources C ontrol Board <br /> Division of Financial Assi tance <br /> 1001 1 Street <br /> Sacramento CA 95814 <br /> Subject: 1607 Turnpik Road, Stockton, CA <br /> Third Revie Summary Report Response CUF Claim # 15533 <br /> San Joaquin County En ironmental Health Department (EHD) has received and reviewed the <br /> Third Review Summary eport for Claim Number 15533 dated 23 October 2013 from Robert <br /> Trommer of the State W3ter Resources Control Board (SWRCB) Cleanup Fund (CUF) for the <br /> above-referenced site. The CUF recommended that the EHD direct the responsible party to <br /> define the extent of g oundwater contamination south (downgradient) of MW-8B and to <br /> implement an effective s A and groundwater treatment technology to achieve Policy guidelines <br /> in a timely manner. <br /> The EHD has directed ar d approved installation and operation of a dual phase extraction (DPE) <br /> system on the site to ad Jress the contaminant mass. The DPE wells have been installed, but <br /> the system has not been installed and put into operation; the EHD will direct this with a deadline <br /> for starting the system. The EHD will direct the Responsible Party to verify that there is no <br /> excessive hazard or ris c associated with vapor intrusion or direct contact and exposure to <br /> outdoor air; and will direct the Responsible Party of the adjacent parcel at 1601 Turnpike Road <br /> to complete or demonstrate delineation of the plume of impacted groundwater down-gradient of <br /> MW-8B but originating al the 1601 Turnpike Road site. <br /> Questions or comments should be directed to Vicki McCartney at (209) 468-9852 or to Nuel <br /> Henderson at (209) 468-3436. <br /> Sincerely, <br /> Victoria L.
