The plan is a proposal to simultaneously extract <br /> petroleum hydroca bon contaminated groundwater and soil vapor from the <br /> soil that resulted f om an unauthorized release from the UST which was <br /> located on the pr perty. Groundwater will be processed through an air <br /> stripper and liquid-phase activated carbon before being discharged under <br /> City of Stockton diE charge permit into the sanitary sewer system; extracted <br /> vapor will be destrc yed by thermal/catalytic oxidizer. <br /> The EHD has mad a tentative determination that the plan is in compliance <br /> with California Health & Safety Code Chapter 6.7, Section 25299.37 and <br /> California Code of Regulation Corrective Action Requirements, and that the <br /> resultant work will not create significant adverse environmental impacts <br /> which exceed the t enefits to be gained from cleanup of the contamination. <br /> The remediation pan is available for public review at the EHD office at <br /> 1868 East Hazelton Avenue, Stockton during normal working hours, <br /> 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. <br /> Final approval for the plan is scheduled for September 30, 2012. <br /> Questions should be directed to Vicki McCartney, Senior REHS, at (209) <br /> 468-9852 or sent in writing to her at the EHD, 1868 East Hazelton <br /> Avenue, Stockton California 95205. <br />
