I <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTIONMISTORY <br /> This report is being submitted to the San Joaquin County Public Health Services (SJCPHS) on <br /> behalf of the property owner, Mr Greg Gaut, for an investigation of potential soil and <br /> ' groundwater contamination at 1607 Turnpike Road, Stockton, California (Figure 1) <br /> ' As required in correspondence from the San Joaquin Local Health District, dated December 17, <br /> 1986, annual precision tests were performed on the site's 550-gallon underground gasoline <br /> ' storage tank and piping on January 20, 1987, and January 21, 1988 Both of the precision tests <br /> indicated the tank and the associated piping were mathematically tight The above precision test <br /> ' results are included in Appendix I <br /> ' The 550-gallon gasoline underground storage tank was removed at the project site on January <br /> 30, 1989, (Figure 2) At the time of removal, the tank and associated piping were observed to <br /> ' be in good condition with no obvious signs of leakage The tank pit area was over excavated <br /> at the time of the tank removal to enable the removal of the UST's associated piping and pump <br /> IPdispenser Samples collected in native soils beneath the tank contained gasoline hydrocarbons <br /> Initial laboratory results are summarized on Table 1 The laboratory reports and chain-of- <br /> custody documentation are included as Appendix II <br /> RESNA Industries (RESNA) has been contracted by Mr Greg Gaut to assess the extent of <br /> contamination at the site <br /> 2.0 BACKGROUND TECHNICAL DATA <br /> 2.1 Site Owner and Contact Person: <br /> t SITE OWNER AND CONTACT PERSON Mr Greg Gaut <br /> 1607 Turnpike Rd <br /> Stockton, CA 95201 <br /> ' IPAR0492 TJL l <br />
