IQuarterly Report - Third Quarter 2005 <br /> COMFORT AIR, INC. <br />' 1607 Turnpike Road, Stockton, California <br />' 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr Greg Gaut, Advanced GeoEnvlronmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this <br />' quarterly report of environmental activities conducted at Comfort Air, Inc , 1607 Turnpike Road, <br /> Stockton, California (site) The scope of work included performance of a quarterly ground water <br /> monitoring event and preparation of this report The objective of the work was to characterize ground <br />' water flow direction and gradient on the site and monitor dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon and fuel <br /> additive concentrations from monitoring well samples The location of the site is illustrated in <br />' Figure 1 A plan of the site is illustrated in Figure 2 <br /> This report is prepared in accordance with guidelines issued by the Central Valley Regional Water <br />' Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB)for investigation of underground storage tank(UST) sites A <br /> summary of previous environmental assessment activities are included in Appendix A Historical <br /> ground water monitoring results are summarized on Tables 1 and 2 <br /> 2.0. PROCEDURES <br />' • Field activities were performed in accordance with guidelines for investigation of underground <br /> storage tank(UST)sites and sampling ground water monitoring wells issued by the CVRWQCB and <br /> by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD), respectively <br />' 21 QUARTERLY WELL MONITORING <br /> On 04 August 2005, a ground water monitoring event was conducted at the site A total of sixteen <br /> wells were monitored and sampled <br />' 2 1 1 Well Monitoring and Evacuation <br /> I A Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in wells MW-3, MW-5, <br /> MW-6, MW-7, MW-8A/B through MW-12A/B, MW-13 and EX-1 relative to the tops of the well <br /> casings(Table 1) After the depth-to-ground-water measurements,a minimum of three casing-water <br /> volumes of water were purged from each well using Watera Hydro-Lift 11 pump for wells MW-3, <br /> MW-5,MW-7 and MW-8A through MW-13 Approximately 5 to 15 gallons of water were removed <br /> from shallow-screened wells MW-3,MW-5,MW-7 and MW-8A through MW-12A,approximately <br /> 21 to 30 gallons of water were removed from deep-screened wells MW-8B,MW-11 B,MW-12B and <br /> EX-1 and 48 gallons of water were removed from well MW-13 Wells MW-6, MW-9B and <br /> MW-1 OB were purged dry prior to the removal of three casing volumes, the wells were allowed to <br />' Advanced GeoEovi ronmentai,Inc <br />
