1 <br />' Quarte 1y Report - Fourth Quarte <br /> r 2001 <br /> COMFORT AIR, INC. <br />' 1607 Turnpike Road, Stockton, California <br /> C� � Z.ai <br /> 10 INTRODUCTION <br />' At the request of Mr Greg Gaut, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this <br /> quarterly report for Comfort Air,Inc , 1607 Turnpike Road, Stockton,California(site) The location <br /> of the site is illustrated in Figure 1, a plan of the site is illustrated in Figure 2 <br />' The objective of the work was to monitor dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations in ground <br /> water and to characterize groundwater flow direction and gradient on the site This report is prepared <br />' in accordance with guidelines issued by the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board <br /> (CVRWQCB) for investigation of underground storage tank (UST) sites A summary of previous <br /> investigations at the site was included in the AGE-prepared Quarterly Report-February 1997, dated <br />' 18 April 1997, and Monitoring Well Installation Work Plan -July 1998, dated 23 July 1998 <br />' 2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> On 20 September 2001,purge water generated during previous monitoring events was disposed from <br />' the site by American Valley Waste Oil, Inc Ground water monitoring and sampling was performed <br /> at the site on wells MW-1 through MW-8 on 12 November 2001 <br /> I Field activities were performed in accordance with guidelines for investigation of underground <br /> storage tank(UST) sites and sampling ground water monitoring wells issued by the Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board - Central Valley Region (RWQCB) and by the San Joaquin County Public <br /> IHealth Services - Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD), respectively <br />' 21 PURGE WATER DISPOSAL <br /> On 20 September 2001, approximately 412 5 gallons of non-hazardous purge water was pumped <br />' from on-site 55-gallon drums The purge water had been generated during previous ground water <br /> monitoring events Pumping and disposal was completed by American Valley Waste Oil, Inc of <br /> Delhi, California The purge water was disposed at Riverbank Oil Transfer located in Riverbank, <br /> California A copy of the waste disposal manifest is included in Appendix A <br /> 2 2 MONITORING WELL PURGE PROCEDURES <br /> Ground water sampling of the on-site wells was conducted on 12 November 2001 For the sampling <br /> Ievent, a Solmst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in the eight <br /> . monitoring wells relative to the tops of the well casings The ground water elevations and gradient <br /> were determined from these data (Table 1) <br /> I <br /> Advanced GeoEnvwonmentai,Inc <br />
