Box 2009
Stockton, CA 95201
RE: 'Gaut-Property,_ 1607 Turnpike Road, Stockton, California
Dear Mr. Collins:
RESNA°Industries Inc. (RESNA) has prepared this letter reporton behalf of Mr. Greg Gaut to
summarize 1992'groundwater monitoring.and sampling-activities at the above referenced site
(Figure 1).
SITE BACKGROUND
The site is located at 1607 Turnpike Road, Stockton, California and was the location of one
underground gasoline storage tank (UST). As part of.a subsurface investigation of gasoline .
hydrocarbons in soils beneath the tanks, RESNA drilled three soil borings in the vicinity of the
tank, which were converted to groundwater monitoring wells in March-1992 (Figure 2). Each
of the three monitoring wells was drilled to a depth of approximately 50-60'feet.
Groundwater was encountered at a depth of approximately 40=45 feet below .ground surface
during drilling activities.'_ Soil samples were collected from. each of the three borings and
submitted to a state-certified laboratory for analysis of benzene; toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes
(BTEX) and total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHG) Laboratory analyses determined
t that petroleum hydrocarbon constituents were detected at low to.moderate levels.in the soil
t within 7-8 feet of the static water levels at the site.
. Groundwater samples were collected from each monitoring well subsequent to development and .
submitted to a state-certified laboratory for analysis of BTEX"and TPHG.
