Label the tote/box with the correct classification label , and fill out the label with the appropriate information . Pour absorbent over the spill , and let it sit until the spill has been completely absorbed . 3 . Bag and seal the item , absorbent, paper towels , gloves , and any other cleaning supplies in a hazardous waste bag . 4 . Bag and seal the bag in a second hazardous waste bag . 5 . If the label is missing or unreadable , write the name of the item on the bag using a permanent marker. 6 . Place the item in the appropriate tote . 7 .
