The containers <br /> were: <br /> 1.An unlabeled cardboard box storing seven boxes of TopCare Ibuprofen 200mg capsules was found in the <br /> reclamation area.According to a document found inside the cardboard box and dated 2/12/2020, the ibuprofen <br /> was recalled and should have been"processed through hazardous waste."Sandra Meza,the store manager, <br /> placed the cardboard box containing the ibuprofen in an area where she stated an employee will process the <br /> ibuprofen and then place it into a hazardous waste container. <br /> 2.A"Hazardous Waste Aerosols, Flammables, and Combustibles"container, storing an Arrid aerosol deodorant <br /> can,was not labeled with the name of the generator. Sandra Meza,the store manager, marked the name of the <br /> generator on the hazardous waste container label at the time of inspection. <br /> 3.A"Hazardous Waste State Regulated,Toxics, OTC Pharmaceuticals&Universal Waste"container, storing <br /> soaps, a spray floor cleaner, and over-the-counter(OTC)pharmaceuticals,was not labeled with the name of the <br /> generator. Sandra marked the name of the generator on the hazardous waste container label at the time of <br /> inspection. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: the <br /> words"Hazardous Waste", name and address of generator, hazardous properties, physical state, composition <br /> (contents), accumulation start date <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately process the ibuprofen, place it in a hazardous waste container, and label the <br /> container as required for hazardous waste. Provide a corrective action statement and supporting documentation to <br /> the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD)within 30 days. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br /> documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br /> paperwork, by 7/5/2020. <br /> To minimize person to person contact EHD is choosing to write the name of person receiving the report instead <br /> of having them sign. Starting September 1, 2018, all in-office CERS help will be provided at EHD hourly rate <br /> ($152).
