PROPANE DISPENSER OPERATOR 1 CYLINDER EXCHANGE TRAINING INSTRUCTIONS <br />For use by CUSTOMER to Train its Employees /Agents <br />1. Review the "Dispensing Propane Safely Training" diagram on page 1 of the printed "Dispensing Propane Safely <br />Training Manual" (SP DPS0713), Determine the type of propane dispensing you will be performing. As <br />indicated in the diagram, show and review the applicable video training modules from the DVD in the Propane <br />Education & Research Council's (PERC) Dispensing Propane Safely training program package (PRC 003510). <br />2. In conjunction with the DVD video, review the applicable modules from the printed "Dispensing Propane Safely <br />Training Manual" (SP DPS0713). Electronic files of these printed modules are included on the CD from the <br />PERC Dispensing Propane Safely training program package (PRC 003510). It is suggested that the Safety Data <br />Sheet {SDS} be reviewed during Module 2 review (see # 5 below). <br />3. Administer and score the applicable module quizzes from "Dispensing Propane Safely Manual" (SP DPS0713). <br />Review quiz results with Employees 1 Agents. <br />4. Additional materials to review and discuss from the "Dispensing Propane Safely Manual" (SP DPS0713): <br />"Important Propane Safety Information for Users of Small Cylinders" — PERC brochure I mailer (PRC- <br />000017) (SUBURBAN SAF 5242, Item No. 1519557). Packages of 125 are available for purchase online <br />from PERC's Propane Marketing Resource Catalog (http://www.propanemarc.rorn . Instruct Employees 1 <br />Agents to provide a copy of this pamphlet to all end use consumers. <br />"Purging Cylinders of Air" — Lesson 3 from Module 7 of the 2012 Certified Employee Training Program <br />(CETP) "Propane Delivery Operations and Cylinder Delivery". <br />y "Overfilling Prevention Device" — Informational piece SAF 5300. (Suggest reviewing during Module 4 review) <br />5. Review Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for Commercial Odorized Propane SAF 5152, item No. 1519278 (English) and <br />I or SAF 5154, Item No. 1519354 (Spanish). <br />6. Review "Storage of Cylinders Awaiting Use, Resale, or Exchange", NFPA 58 informational document. <br />7. Instruct Employees 1 Agents to report any missing or unreadable Signs or Decals to CUSTOMER's <br />management. Customer I Dispenser Operator — Refer to the "Dispenser & Exchange Cabinet Labeling Picklists" <br />SAF 5285, and review the Signs and Decals applicable to the dispensing installation. <br />8. If Customer 1 Dispenser Operator elects to perform visual requalification of DOT (ICC) cylinders, review "Notice <br />for Wholesalers 1 Resellers" for DOT Cylinder Requalification Program (SP-1244). Customers l Dispenser <br />Operators must apply for, and obtain their own Requalifier Identification Number (RIN). Customers I Dispenser <br />Operators are not authorized to use any RIN # issued to Suburban or its Subsidiaries or Affiliates ("Company"). <br />9. Review and perform three (3) successful cylinder filling procedures, reinforce Personal Protective Equipment <br />(PPE) to use, and answer any trainee questions. <br />10. Perform one successful cylinder purging procedure as outlined in "Purging Cylinders of Air" and as reviewed in <br />Module 5 and 5 of the manual, reinforce PPE use, and answer any trainee questions. <br />11.
