Enclosed with this letter please find our revised
Sampling Plan, which incorporates the comments and requirements of your letter. We
understand that a minimum of four quarters of sampling must be carried out before any petition
can be made to the Environmental Health Department (EHD) for reduction in the sampling
requirements. We further understand that no such reduction can be made without written
authorization from EHD staff.
We are currently preparing a work plan for the installation of, at least, one additional
monitoring well at the site. This work plan will also include additional investigative work to
better define the lateral extent of near surface soil contamination. You will receive this work
plan on, or before, the February 15, 2004 deadline.
If you have any questions, or require any additional information, please contact me at
your convenience.
Very truly yours,
Louis B.
