San Joaquin County PHS/EHD
December 27 , 1989
Work Plan Proposal
Page 3
down to one, making a total of five samples to be analyzed.
If the plume of contamination extends further than 30 feet
below grade, the excavation will cease and a new work plan
shall be submitted for evaluation. A final report shall be
submitted to your department which will include the findings
of this investigation.
XII. DISPOSAL OF CONTAMINATED SOIL:
The contaminated soil removed from the tank pit shall be
stockpiled at the site on plastic sheets and covered. The
soil will be spread out in the summer months to aerate and
nutrients may be added if necessary to help induce the
degradation of the contaminants. After the soil has degraded
beyond the state's action level of 100 ppm, the soil shall be
added to our aggregate base stockpile to be used for road base
material . Soil analyses will be submitted to your department
prior to any soil removed from this site.
