Second Quarter 1993 Monitoring Report <br /> Laidlaw Corp , 1444 Tillie Lewis Dr, Stockton,CA <br /> Project No 150002 00 <br /> Page 3 <br /> Control District(APCD) Rule 463 5 Volatile Organic Compound Emissionsfrom Decontamination <br /> of Soil <br /> During a site visit on May 25, 1993 by RESNA personnel random soil samples were collected <br /> from the soil stockpiled on site and field screened with a flame ionization detector (FID) for the <br /> presence of volatile organic vapors No organic vapors were evident in the stockpiled soil <br /> PROPOSED ACTIVITIES <br /> In order to verify the successful aeration of petroleum hydrocarbons from the stockpiled soil <br /> RESNA proposes one 2 1 composite sample be collected from every 50 yards (15 composites) of <br /> stockpiled soil Sample collection will be performed in accordance with RESNA's Quality <br /> Assurance/Quality Control Plan on file with the DER <br /> Samples will be placed on ice, transported under chain-of-custody protocol to a State-certified <br /> laboratory and analyzed for BTEX and TPHG using appropriate EPA methodologies <br /> If you have any questions regarding this project please contact John Lane at our Escalon office <br />.
