("Walgreens") and hereby responds to the <br /> June 11, 2020 Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report with respect to <br /> hazardous waste management issues noted at store#2680. Thank you for taking the time to <br /> discuss this matter with me and providing an extension of time to respond, to and including <br /> July 24, 2020 to allow us to clarify certain issues with you and respond to all three Inspection <br /> Reports in a coordinated manner. Walgreens wishes to demonstrate its good faith effort to <br /> comply with California's hazardous waste control laws by submitting this Return to Compliance <br /> Certification and Corrective Action Statement. As discussed below, any errors noted as stated in <br /> the Inspection Report have been corrected. <br /> 102: Failed to Determine if Waste is Hazardous Waste. Those Walgreens' <br /> employees with hazardous waste responsibilities have been trained and have completed a <br /> program of online training at the store level, in addition to refresher training in person with <br /> management. Walgreens also provides multiple store level references for assistance with waste <br /> classification and labeling. <br /> 1. The items referenced in the inspection report were properly placed in the <br /> "Toxic Hazardous Waste" container in accordance with Walgreens' hazardous waste program <br /> and employee training and there was no violation of CCR 66262.11. The individual employee <br /> questioned had just returned from leave and responded inaccurately at the time of the inspection; <br /> management has reviewed proper procedures with the employee. <br /> 514088.1 <br /> A Professional Law Corporation <br />
