There are two gasoline stations (Texaco and Chevron)
with underground storage tanks containing fuel located southwest and south, respectively,of the subject site.
A commercial business named Cal Stop and Delta Fire Department #3 are also located south of the site.
Rocky's Restaurant and a water tank)"and pump are located southwest of the site. A water supply well is
located 50 feet north of the Chevron station.
i3
6.3 Regulatory Agengy Listed Sites
Lists of contaminated sites provided by federal, state, and county agencies were reviewed. There is one
identified contaminated site listed that may be within a 1-mile-radius of the subject site. That site is
identified as Charley Jacobs on the Cortese and Regional Board lists. Apparently, lead was identified in the
r
soil as the result of an underground storage tank leak.
6.4 Chemical Analysis of Soil Samples
e
Three soil borings were advanced at selected locations across the site. Sail samples were collected at depths
of 5, 10,and 14 feet and were screened in the field. Field screening results obtained with a PID (Table 1)
s i ,
in soil samples collected from SB-1 at 5 and 10 feet below the surface indicated organic vapor concentrations
of 4.0 and 0.6 ppm, respectively. However, petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline or gasoline constituents were
not detected in six soil samples-submitted to the laboratory for chemical analyses.
li
pit+
d
t iia
: r 5
F 7_
5
3
- :1
