The BTX&E & TPH soil sample at the
southerly end of the tank hole contai.`ned 1 .8 ppm
Xylenes and 140 ppm TPH gasoline (Sample #1 ) .
See Plate #3 for - tank hole and sample location.
See ppen ix soi3lest results.
PROPOSED ACTION:' This proposal is to evacuate the tank hole, take
soil samples and remediate soil on site by
aeration A backhoe will be used to excavate
the tank hole . Workers will not be
allowed to entertank hole . In addition an OVA
meter will be used as a field guide for testing
contamination levels and determining when to
terminate excavation.
In the event contamination is more extensive
then indicated and cannot be excavated, work i
will stop, and the remediation plan revised to
meet found conditions .
The excavated hole will be backfilled with clean
soil .
LABORATORY
ANALYSIS: All soil samples will be tested for BTX&E EPA
Method 8020 and.
